Happy Thursday, North OC Digest!
Christmas…
Christmas…
Christmas…
Did someone say Christmas? No? Cool. We’re saying it anyway.
The end-of-year slowdown is almost here and we’re fully leaning into cozy season. Warm drinks, comfort food, and anything that makes this week feel a little more festive.
As always, we’ve rounded up some great eats, drinks, and things to do around North OC so you don’t have to go searching for plans.
Our mission stays the same: make OC more enjoyable for the people who already live here.
You just have to know where to look

Restaurant of the Week: Atoyubu

This IG worthy food tastes as good as it looks
If you haven’t tried Atoyubu yet, this Buena Park spot should be on your radar, especially if you love bold Korean-Japanese fusion flavors with a fun, casual twist. This place is best known for its yubu — crispy tofu skin pockets loaded with rice and toppings like fresh salmon, bulgogi, spicy tuna, and more. People keep coming back because every bite hits.
Here’s what people keep coming back for:
Crispy yubu pockets loaded with toppings like spicy tuna, fresh salmon, and bulgogi
Bold, creative flavors like garlic butter crab and buldak chicken for a little heat
Fresh ingredients and sauces that make every bite pop
Perfect portions for sharing… or not sharing at all
📍 7041 Western Ave, Ste B, Buena Park, CA 90621
🕓 Mon–Sat: 11:00AM–2:00PM & 4:00PM–8:00PM

Cafe of the Week: DO Coffee

This is the best looking cafe I’ve ever seen in my life
Okay, I know I should be talking about how good the coffee is here (and trust me, it is), but we need to talk about the vibe first.
DO Coffee in Brea is honestly stunning. The space is bright, modern, and effortlessly cool, the kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel like you need to sit down and stay awhile. It feels less like a coffee stop and more like a place people actually want to hang out.
Here’s what people keep coming back for:
Beautifully crafted drinks like the Guava Cold Drip and Sea Salt Toffee Latte that taste just as good as they look
Smooth matcha and Einspanner-style drinks with rich foam and balanced sweetness
An insane interior with tons of natural light and clean design that makes every corner photo-worthy
A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for studying, working, or catching up with friends
📍 391 S State College Blvd, Ste W, Brea, CA 92821
🕓 Daily: 8:30AM – 4:00PM
PS: Their yuzu cold drip is like nothing I’ve ever tried before. It’s genuinely the most one-of-a-kind coffee I’ve had, and I’m already counting the days until I visit again.
